I did end up using acts_as_trashable for everything except for my BetterNestedSet table. I do like it.

On another note, are you still using acts_as_trashable? Do you like it?

For my project, I ended up doing a crazy inactive/active hack. I couldn't get a satisfactory undelete in place.
